AFSA to launch Youth Program

We’re excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Youth American Football Program, starting Saturday, November 1, 2025.

This 6-week non-contact program is open to boys and girls aged 8 to 12 from across South Australia and offers a unique opportunity for young athletes to experience the fast-growing sport of American football—learning both flag and tackle formats in a safe and supportive setting.

A Fun and Structured Introduction to the Game

Designed specifically for young players, this program focuses on the fundamentals of American football, delivered in a fun, inclusive environment. Whether your child is completely new to the sport or already showing interest, this is a great way to:

  • Learn core skills, rules, and strategies

  • Develop confidence, coordination, and teamwork

  • Train with peers from across South Australia

  • Make new friends and build a strong foundation in the sport

  • Gain life skills such as communication, discipline, and leadership

Saturday Morning Sessions

Sessions will run every Saturday at 8:00 AM, just before the first game of each round. This schedule gives kids a real game-day experience, building consistency and excitement each week.

Why Get Involved?

American football is growing rapidly in Australia, and this program offers a chance to be part of that momentum from the ground up. It's not just about sport—it’s about community, growth, and opportunity.

Whether your child is curious about trying something new or ready to deepen their interest in the game, this is a great place to start.

Register Your Child

Spaces are limited, and we expect strong interest—so don’t wait.

It’s great to see more initiatives focused on helping young Aussies gain real-world skills and confidence. Programs like this can really shape the future by giving kids a stronger sense of purpose. I was just sorting out my weekend shopping list and came across a new sheet set that reminded me how little things can make a big difference just like these programs do. Supporting youth development should always be a community effort. Can’t wait to see the positive impact this program brings across Australia.
