2026 AFSA Season Schedule Released

The road to the Great Southern Bowl is set, with the 2026 American Football South Australia season schedule now officially released.

The 2026 season will see four clubs compete across three competitions — Juniors, Seniors and Women's Flag — with a full season of football and flag football ahead at Dry Creek Reserve.

With nine rounds scheduled across the regular season, every game will be an opportunity for clubs to build momentum, compete for a place in the finals and ultimately challenge for the Great Southern Bowl.

One League. Three Competitions.

The AFSA competition continues to provide opportunities for athletes across different ages and formats of the sport.

The Juniors competition provides the next generation of South Australian footballers with the opportunity to develop their skills and compete in a structured league environment.

The Seniors competition brings together players from across the state to compete for the biggest prize in South Australian American Football.

The Women's Flag competition continues the growth of flag football in South Australia, providing a dedicated competition for women and helping create further opportunities for athletes to get involved in the sport.

A Season at Dry Creek

Once again, Dry Creek Reserve will be at the centre of AFSA competition, with all regular-season games being played at the home of American Football South Australia.

The season will feature a mixture of early and late game times across the three competitions, giving supporters plenty of opportunities to come down, watch multiple games and support clubs throughout the season.

The Road to the Great Southern Bowl

The regular season will lead into the finals, with the top teams battling for their place in the Great Southern Bowl.

The semi-final will see 2nd v 3rd, with the winner progressing to the championship game.

The Great Southern Bowl will then bring the 2026 season to its conclusion, with the remaining teams competing for the title of AFSA champions.
